Emotional Support Cat Program

Cat Companions, a charity organization, is offering this program to people in Eastern Massachusetts with any type of disability, including people with anxiety, depression, PTSD, autism, and a physical disability. We also offer our program to seniors.

We will:

  • Help you through the process of finding a friendly and loving cat — from a local foster home or shelter — that can comfort you as an emotional support animal in your home

  • Work with you to set up your cat's ongoing care

  • Provide coaching on cat care, bonding, behavior and communication

  • Support you if needed with cat behavior issues

Please note:

  • We do not cover adoption fees, supplies, and ongoing expenses such as vet bills and food

  • The cat rescue/shelter will have a thorough adoption application process when you work with them.
